Leaving Facebook was tough…
Leaving Facebook was tough... but if I can do it, anyone can. With willpower comes responsibility, ya know? Besides... you can afford to do something else with your time for a little while... can't you? If even 1/10th of the Facebook population decided to do something else with their time, in protest of Facebook's dichotomous privacy stance, they would be shaking in their boots. Popular sites don't last forever, and Facebook will be replaced by a better alternative eventually. It's the only saving grace of capitalism... right?

OiNK Admin Found Not Guilty Walks Free

"Lawyers have presented their final arguments in the trial of Alan Ellis. The prosecution slammed the ex-OiNK admin, saying that the site was set up with dishonest and profiteering intentions right from the start. The defense tore into IFPI and countered by calling Ellis an innovator with talents to be nurtured. Today the jury returned a unanimous verdict of not guilty, and Ellis walked free."

You Know Twitter is Lame When…
From the 'What the HELL are you doing!?!' department...
"You Know Twitter is Lame When... "
- The IRS tells notifies you that you're being auditted via tweet...

- Your car insurance company asks you to follow them via Twitter...

- You must tweet in order to contact Support at your banking agency...

- You can't seem to get enough ideas for home improvement projects thanks to Home Depot's tweets... too bad you never seem to peel your ass off that chair, either.

Ahhh... how incessantly dull our lives might be if it weren't for the almighty Twitter. And in case you're wondering why the shots above appear singed around the edges... well, if you hadn't figured out that we're in HELL by this point... perhaps you were one of those born with the gift of "unique perspective." Cheers! :)

Dyyno: Drag-and-Drop Video Streaming
Dyyno: Drag-and-Drop P2P Video Streaming | Epicenter | Wired.com
It’s hard to imagine a simpler way to stream video from your computer to the web than Dyyno, whose creators hope to disrupt the video market with their dirt-simple peer-to-peer video streaming service. Once the Windows application is running, dragging the “d” icon (screenshot to the right) onto any active window starts streaming that window through a Flash player at static Dyyno URL (for example, I can use it to share any window on my Windows computer at mychannel.dyyno.com/wired).
